Adam Gurien is a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial advisory roles, having joined Merrill in 2011. Adam leads his team’s goals-based wealth management process and utilizes Merrill’s resources to guide investment portfolios and assist clients across a broad array of financial matters. His expertise encompasses family wealth management strategies, legacy planning, managing new wealth, philanthropic planning, portfolio management services, tax minimization, and retirement income.
Adam began his financial services career in 1991 at Shearson-Lehman Brothers and completed the management training program at CitiBank, where he eventually managed retail and mortgage branches in Manhattan. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and attended the Center of Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Keble College, Oxford University. Adam maintains FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 31, 53, 63, and 65 registrations and holds the Personal Investment Advisor (PIA) designation. He has been recognized on Forbes’ "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" list in 2021 and 2022 and Barron’s "Top 1,200 Financial Advisors" list in 2021 and 2022, as well as their "Top 1,000 Financial Advisors" list in 2010 and 2011.
In addition to his professional work, Adam has served as a board member of a large non-profit organization and a public purpose organization and has contributed as a recreational youth coach. He resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with his wife Lynn and their three children. His personal interests include skiing and tennis.
