Alexander Costos is a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. In his role, he serves as a Portfolio Manager, providing traditional financial advice, guidance, and planning, and manages discretionary personalized and defined strategies that may include individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. His client focus areas include education planning, family wealth management, retirement planning, socially responsible investing, and services for endowments, foundations, and non-profits, among others.
Alexander began his financial services career in 2007. He holds a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University (2004) and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland (2017). He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 2016 and holds designations as a CERTIFIED PLAN FIDUCIARY ADVISOR (CPFA), Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Accredited Financial Advisor (RAFA). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Family Network and is involved with the Loyola Sellinger School of Business Alumni Board.
Raised in the greater Baltimore area, Alexander is the son of Bob and Sandy Costos. He resides in Phoenix, Maryland, with his wife Laura and their two children. His personal interests include boating, camping, cooking, football, gardening, hunting, reading, spending time with family, and woodworking.
