David Gomez De Armas serves as a Senior Resident Director and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill, where he focuses on developing personalized wealth management strategies tailored to the unique needs of his clients. Since beginning his financial services career in 1998, David has worked with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, foundations, endowments, and nonprofit organizations. His expertise includes discretionary investment portfolio management, asset allocation, investment selection, and performance tracking to help clients achieve their financial objectives.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating magna cum laude, and earned an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. Prior to joining Merrill, he worked as a structural engineer specializing in bridge design and construction management. He holds several professional designations, including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC™), CERTIFIED PLAN FIDUCIARY ADVISOR (CPFA), Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Accredited Financial Advisor (RAFA). David is actively engaged in his community, serving as Vice President of the Metuchen Golf & Country Club and participating in the Knights of Columbus.
Outside of his professional work, David enjoys golfing and spending time with his family. He resides in Metuchen, New Jersey, with his wife, Debbie, and their children, Matthew and Mia.
