David Madsen is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He has been with Merrill since 1991 and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and the Personal Investment Advisor (PIA) designation. His approach to wealth management includes developing personalized financial strategies tailored to each client’s long-term goals and risk profile, using a combination of individual equity selection, third-party management for fixed income, alternatives, and international diversification.
David works with high-net-worth individual and business clients, focusing on areas such as employee financial health, legacy planning, managing new wealth, personal retirement planning, tax minimization, and retirement income. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1979 and an MBA from the University of Southern California in 1982. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, David served as an Air Force officer and aerospace engineer. His community involvement includes coaching adult recreational tennis. Personal interests outside of work include basketball, boxing, football, reading, refereeing, spending time with family, tennis, watching movies, and writing.
