Over time I realized that the wealth management industry was designed to serve employees nearing retirement. Business owners have always found themselves disconnected with their advisor because the advisor was trying to put a square peg in a round hole. So I decided to start over and designed a service model based around the complexity of these Unique Net Worth Families and just work with business owners. Most of my clients are thinking about the next generation and have desires to be financially generous. Whether you are still operating your business or you're on the journey of building your family office, my professional life is dedicated to serve you.
David Ortiz, first and foremost, takes pride in his role as a loving husband to Kailey and a devoted father to Josie, Tobias, Millie, and Pennie. He's not only deeply connected to his family but also actively engaged within the vibrant Norman community, where he's committed to contributing to the flourishing landscape of Oklahoma. Most importantly, he is dedicated to a life following Jesus Christ and is currently a member with Antioch Community Church in Norman, OK. David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ®(CFP), Certified Exit Planning Advisor ®(CEPA), and IRS Enrolled Agent (EA). David is founder of the Oklahoma Exit Planning Society and is currently President of the organization. He is also a board member on the Central Oklahoma Financial Planning Association and an active member of the Oklahoma Estate Planning Council and Oklahoma Municipal Contractors Association.
David's professional journey commenced in the oil and gas sector as a Petroleum Engineer, where he gained invaluable insights and expertise. However, his unwavering passion for Wealth Management led him to pivot his career towards financial services, a transition that found him at Arvest Bank.
With a commitment to delivering nothing short of excellence and an acute understanding of the diverse needs of families, David provided exceptional financial services for several years. This dedicated period equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of wealth management. Upon realization of the need for Succession and Exit planning for business owners, David started his own firm to provide a boutique approach to these problems. After some time, David joined Legacy and Succession to continue to help business owners solve complex problems in their business and in their personal wealth. David leads efforts on the Succession Planning, Tax Strategy, and Multi Family Office wealth management services at Legacy and Succession. David's overarching focus is to help business owners grow to give and save to serve.

We'll help you think it through—whether you ultimately need an advisor or not. Warmer helps you compare advisors clearly, so you can choose with confidence.
For advisor listings, we rely on sources including public filings and data provided by advisors, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or accurate. Advisors are independent and may not have reviewed or updated this information. Please review an advisor’s Form ADV and do your own diligence before deciding whether to work with them.
Advisor matching and introductions are provided by FinanceHQ LLC (“FHQ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warmer and an SEC-registered investment advisor. We receive compensation from certain participating advisors for introductions or referrals. This creates a conflict of interest because we have an incentive to recommend advisors who compensate us, including those who pay us more. You pay no fee to use our matching service, and advisor fees are not increased because of a referral or introduction. We do not review the ongoing performance of advisors, manage or hold assets, guarantee performance, or provide advice about specific investments.
By using our service, you agree to our Terms of Service and Advisory Agreement, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Please review FHQ’s ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. Logos provided by Logo.dev
