Donald Truesdell Jr. is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where he provides strategic guidance to high net worth clients. He began his career in 1993 in Merrill Lynch's asset management division, serving as a Portfolio Manager handling equity and fixed income portfolios for institutional and individual clients. In 1999, he transitioned to wealth management to work more closely with individual clients and families. He is a Managing Director and co-leads The HART Group, which he co-founded in 2005.
He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Allegheny College and has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. He is also a member of the CFA Institute of Charlottesville, VA and the Financial Analysts Society of Philadelphia. His expertise includes executive compensation, family wealth management strategies, legacy planning, managing new wealth, retirement planning, portfolio management, socially responsible investing, tax minimization, and retirement income.
Outside of his professional work, Donald has coached baseball in the Piedmont league. He resides in Wilmington, Delaware with his wife and two children and enjoys spending time with his family, as well as baseball, biking, cooking, fishing, and photography.
