Douglas Rivlin is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Charlotte and a partner in The Rivlin Firestone Group. He has been in the financial services industry since 1995, providing guidance to companies, individuals, C-level executives, successful entrepreneurs, and business owners. Douglas creates wealth management plans and financial strategies to align with clients' goals and objectives.
His areas of expertise include wealth preservation, investment equity and fixed income portfolio selection, retirement income strategies, concentrated stock strategies, charitable giving, business succession strategies, college planning, estate maximization strategies, long-term care, and life insurance. He also participates in Merrill's Alternative Investment program and has access to mortgage lending through Bank of America. Douglas holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation, Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Accredited Financial Advisor (RAFA) credentials, along with life and health insurance, long-term care, Medicare licenses, and Nationwide Mortgage License. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University.
Douglas has volunteered and donated time to various charitable organizations, including Receptions for Research (R4R), Morrison YMCA, and the Isabella Santos Foundation. He previously served as a board member for the Morrison YMCA in Charlotte. In his personal time, Douglas enjoys traveling and supporting his children's sports activities, which include basketball, cross country, and golf. He lives in the Ballantyne community with his wife Ellen and their four children.
