Elizabeth Poplin is a Wealth Management Advisor and Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. She is one of the founders of the Karras Poplin Schroeder Group, where she helps lead the team's vision, outreach, and direction while working with clients to create and refine their long-term wealth strategies. She collaborates with clients' attorneys and accountants to employ a holistic planning approach.
Liz has worked in wealth management since 2001 and has been a member of Merrill since 2008. Prior to Merrill, she served as a Financial Advisor and Director of Wealth Planning at Morgan Stanley. Earlier, Liz was an Equity Index Risk Manager at the Chicago Board Options Exchange and co-managed the University of Dayton endowment fund. She earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Dayton. She holds several professional designations, including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA), and Personal Investment Advisor (PIA).
Elizabeth's expertise includes advising high-net-worth clients on pre- and post-retirement strategies, stock-option analysis, cash-flow modeling, insurance reviews, trust and estate planning, and tax-minimization strategies. She tailors advice to each client's unique circumstances and strives to have a positive, lasting impact on their well-being. She volunteers with Catholic Charities and her home parish, participates in family service ministry, coaches soccer, and serves on the St. Matthew Church Pastoral Council and as a catechist. Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, skiing, and listening to live music.
