Erik Morland serves as a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He began his career in 1997 at Bank of Boston 1784 Investor Services before transitioning in 1999 to the bank's Private Client Division to focus on investment strategies for high-net-worth clients. Following Bank of Boston's integration into Bank of America in 2004, Erik joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2008. In his current role at The Cafaro Group, he collaborates with clients to develop fixed-income portfolios for nondiscretionary accounts while also conducting analysis and trading for discretionary accounts.
Erik is a specially qualified senior portfolio manager who designs and manages personalized investment strategies that may include individual stocks and bonds as well as model portfolios and third-party investment options. His position allows him considerable flexibility in portfolio construction and securities selection. Within the firm's Investment Advisory Program, Erik manages strategies on a discretionary basis and may, after meeting additional requirements, oversee assets for other Merrill Advisors’ clients. His client focus encompasses diverse areas such as college education planning, family wealth management, retirement income, and legacy planning.
Erik earned his bachelor's degree in government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. Outside of his professional work, he is an active sportsman who enjoys skiing, ice fishing, and training for triathlons. He participates in his community as a youth soccer coach. Erik lives in Rowley with his wife, Aimee, and their two daughters.
