Harper Financial Planning

In 2016, I started in the financial services industry unsure of what I wanted to do when I “grew up." I had spent my first year out of college doing mission and service work in Southern Africa, Southeast Asia and Central America. In just a handful of months, I became convinced that the best way I could serve people was as a financial advisor. Money touches everything. It is a tool, that when used well can bring stability and joy to our lives. However, when it is not held in the correct perspective, it can add stress and worry instead. That’s why our mission is to take the work and worry out of planning. I decided to start my own firm out of a desire to provide better advice at a lower cost to more people. Quality financial planning can be difficult to find in today’s world. When I’m not meeting with clients or building financial plans, I’m either with my family or outside. I enjoy scuba diving, swimming, running, cycling, mountain biking and playing music. My wife and I are active in our church community as well. I don’t get much time to sit and read, but I enjoy listening to audiobooks, especially by people who are the best at what they do in any field.

Multipath Wealth Magement

I’ve seen the medical journey up close. My wife and I navigated med school, residency, and fellowship together. We dealt with the student loans, the long hours, and had three kids during her training. I understand the financial and personal sacrifices required to build a career in medicine because I’ve lived them with her. In 2015, our youngest son was diagnosed in-utero with a serious heart defect. He needed to be delivered in a major medical center and underwent multiple open-heart surgeries in his first year of life. We were prepared emotionally, but not financially. Our insurance initially denied coverage. Despite solid household income, we were suddenly facing what would ultimately amount to $2 million in medical bills, all while starting new jobs and buying a home. We got through it. Our son is healthy today, and we eventually resolved the insurance nightmare. But the experience left a mark. This experience is what nudged me to start a financial planning firm... one focused on helping medical professionals navigate complexity, manage risk, and build the life they really want. At Multipath Wealth Management, I help medical professionals organize their finances, reduce stress, and make confident decisions at every stage... from residency through retirement. My role is to help you live a great life today, while still planning for the future. This business is my way of paying it forward. Let's work together!
