John Worsowicz serves as the Senior Resident Director and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch. With over 30 years of financial experience spanning both corporate and personal investing environments, he focuses on understanding client goals and developing strategies to assist in exceeding those goals and expectations.
John began his career in public accounting as a CPA (non-practicing) and transitioned to private industry with CSX, where he held various financial management positions. He has also been a partner, CFO, and consultant for several successful companies in Northeast Florida. His relationship with Merrill Lynch began over 13 years ago as a client, and in 2013 he joined the Merriam Team to apply his skills in business to financial advisory services. John's areas of expertise include college education planning, corporate benefits, divorce transition planning, executive compensation, family wealth management strategies, and services for endowments, foundations, and non-profits.
He holds a Bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University and a Master's degree from the University of North Florida. John maintains several professional designations, including Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA), Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Benefits Consultant (RBC). In his personal time, John enjoys basketball, biking, football, hiking, horseback riding, music, running, and traveling.
