Matthew Pfister is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2016 following his experience at Fidelity Investments and has over 13 years of experience in wealth management. In his current role, Matthew focuses on developing integrated, goals-based financial strategies tailored to clients’ risk tolerance, timelines, liquidity needs, and personal preferences.
Matthew’s areas of expertise include family wealth management strategies, personal retirement planning, sports and entertainment wealth management, tax minimization, and retirement income planning. He works extensively with professionals and business owners, providing guidance on investment, tax mitigation, and wealth planning strategies to help build and sustain generational wealth. Additionally, Matthew offers support in exit planning, workplace retirement plans, and business lending or cash flow management strategies.
Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell College and has earned several professional designations, including CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), Personal Investment Advisor (PIA), and Retirement Accredited Financial Advisor (RAFA). He is also affiliated with the Cornell Baseball Alumni organization. Outside of his professional work, Matthew enjoys baseball, basketball, football, skiing, spending time with his family, and traveling.
