Michael Fehrenback is a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He began his career in financial services in 1999 and joined Merrill in 2017 after experience at Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley. Michael serves a multi-generational client base that includes active and retired executives at power and public companies, attorneys, and others residing in more than a dozen states.
Michael focuses on building strong relationships with clients, emphasizing frequent communication to understand their long-term goals, financial concerns, and preferences. He specializes in areas such as executive compensation, family wealth management, legacy planning, liquidity management, tax minimization, and retirement income. His approach includes developing customized strategies that enhance both assets and liabilities, coordinating with clients’ CPAs and attorneys on tax and wealth transfer matters, and incorporating Merrill’s research and vetted investment managers into portfolio construction.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Rutgers University and has earned the Personal Investment Advisor (PIA) designation. Outside of work, he spends time with his wife, Renee, and their three children, and enjoys golfing, reading, running, traveling, and watching movies.
