Michael Troxell is a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 registrations, as well as life and health insurance licenses. Michael has been serving clients in the financial services industry since 1999, and prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he was a Senior Wealth Manager at USAA.
Michael specializes in areas including education planning, executive compensation, family wealth management strategies, legacy planning, personal retirement planning, portfolio management services, special needs planning strategies, tax minimization, and retirement income. He assists clients with creating and growing wealth, preserving assets, planning efficient distributions throughout their lives, and designing tax-efficient distribution plans for after death. Michael earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness and management from Cornell University and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of Michigan.
Raised in Cincinnati, Michael lives with his wife Michelle and their two young adopted sons, Carter and Remington. He has two rescue dogs and is devoted to helping veterans, military families, disadvantaged children, and animals by applying his time, energy, and donations. Michael integrates his understanding of clients’ life priorities into his financial planning approach to develop personalized strategies tailored to their goals and aspirations.
