Capable Wealth is built around one kind of client: orthopedic surgeons, generally between 45 and 65, sitting on high incomes, valuable practices, and very little time to plan for what comes next. Most of what I do lives in the years leading up to and around a transition: selling a practice, restructuring around QBI and S-corp income once the phase-outs start working against you, designing a cash balance plan that can absorb $150,000 to $350,000 a year for someone this far into a compressed earning window, or structuring an installment sale so it doesn't quietly cost more in taxes than it needed to. I spend less time explaining what a 401(k) is and more time looking for the kind of leaks that hide in a surgeon's plan, the ones most advisors miss because they're not built for a schedule, an income curve, and a practice structure this specific. I work with clients nationwide, wherever you practice. Outside of planning, I'm the person who ends up talking training and recovery with clients as much as tax brackets, which probably explains the pull toward a field full of people who treat their own bodies like the asset they are. I know what it feels like to have money make your decisions for you instead of the other way around, and that's a large part of why this work matters to me.
