Thomas Armitage is a Private Wealth Advisor within Merrill's Private Wealth Management division. He joined Merrill in 2002 and brings over 30 years of financial industry experience. In his role, he designs integrated wealth management strategies tailored to the needs and priorities of ultra-high-net-worth clients. Thomas develops customized portfolios aligned with clients' long-term goals and incorporates both strategic and tactical elements to help clients navigate changing economic conditions while maintaining a focus on market fundamentals.
Thomas is actively engaged with private and public companies preparing for mergers and acquisitions, facilitating access to Bank of America's Commercial and Investment Banking divisions to provide financial solutions. Before joining Merrill, he held roles at J.P. Morgan's Private Bank, Hambrecht & Quist, and Cowen & Co., focusing on Corporate Executive Services. At Hambrecht & Quist, he co-founded and led the Investment Management Consulting Division, which offered access to third-party money managers for both retail and institutional sales forces.
Thomas earned a Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation from the Investments & Wealth Institute. He is affiliated with professional organizations including ACG New Jersey, Colorado Companies to Watch as a former board advisor, and the Vistage CEO Forum.
