I'm a former process research engineer - B.S. University of Louisiana at Lafayette, M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduating I joined Dow Chemical and had a productive 12-year career obtaining numerous patents and helping commercialize several products and processes. I enjoyed my Dow career, but there was something I enjoyed more. When Covid stopped the world, I re-evaluated my options and chose to pursue a passion. In 2022, I left a promising career at Dow to enroll in the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ education program at Rice University. In April 2023, I launched Scientific Financial. I apply a scientific mindset and don't mindlessly accept doing things the "way they've always been done". I challenge the status quo and seek to do things better. Critical thinking has helped technology and the world move forward in the past decades. Financial planning should move forward too.
