David Dorward is the Senior Resident Director of the Phoenix office and a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1995 and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1997. His professional focus is on serving ultra-high net worth clients, including corporate executives, professional athletes, physicians, retirees, and business owners. As a Portfolio Manager, he manages personalized or defined discretionary investment strategies that may include individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management model portfolios, and third-party strategies. He holds professional designations such as Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC™) and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® (CPFA®) and is recognized as a Forbes Best in State Wealth Advisor from 2019 to 2026. He holds multiple FINRA registrations including Series 7, 63, 65, 52, 31, 9, and 10 Securities Principal. David earned his Bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University and is an Arizona native. He is a graduate and alumnus of Scottsdale Leadership Organization (Class XXI). His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Fiesta Bowl organization. He has also dedicated time to several local charities and served as a Reserve Volunteer for the Paradise Valley Police Department.
