Cross Border Wealth Advisors

Most financial advice assumes you live, earn, bank, and retire in one country. My clients don't — and that's exactly the work I love. I'm Victor Gersten, founder of Cross Border Wealth Advisors. I work with US citizens and dual nationals living abroad, especially those moving between the United States and Spain, and those planning a move to Portugal or elsewhere in Europe. What makes cross-border planning hard isn't the investing — it's everything around it: how two tax systems interact, where to hold accounts, how a Golden Visa or a relocation reshapes your plan. I'm both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and an Enrolled Agent, so I look at your investments and your tax picture together instead of handing you off and hoping the pieces line up. When a client needs in-country expertise, I coordinate with trusted tax and legal partners in the US, Spain, and across Europe. I built this firm after years inside large US brokerage houses, where I saw how poorly the traditional model served people whose lives crossed borders. Today I split my own life between the US and Spain, work in English and Spanish, and teach university students on the side — so the cross-border balancing act my clients live isn't theory to me, it's my everyday. I'm fee-only and a fiduciary: I'm paid only by my clients, never through commissions or products. If you're building a life across borders and want a planner who actually speaks both sides of it, let's talk.

Flightpath Financial Planning

FlightPath Financial Planning is an independent, fee-only firm built for high-earning professionals whose financial lives have outgrown generic advice. Many of my clients are nurses, physicians, pilots, tech employees, and small business owners — people with strong incomes but complicated situations: vesting equity compensation, layered employee benefits, multiple income streams, or a small business that's finally generating real cash flow. I specialize in helping clients make sense of equity compensation — RSUs, stock options, and ESPPs — building a coordinated strategy around vesting schedules, tax exposure, and diversification instead of treating it as an afterthought. I also work extensively with clients navigating PPO, HMO, HSA and high-deductible health plan decisions, particularly during open enrollment, when most advisors don't dig into the tradeoffs with any real rigor. As a Certified Financial Planner® and fiduciary, I work on a fee-only basis — no commissions, no product sales, no conflicts of interest. My practice runs on an ongoing, fixed-fee model with no account minimums, so clients always know exactly what they're paying and what they're getting, regardless of portfolio size. This makes planning accessible to high earners who don't yet have significant investable assets but have real financial complexity to manage. I'm also a private pilot with instrument and commercial ratings, and I bring the same discipline to financial planning that I bring to flying — clear checklists, careful preparation, and a plan you can actually execute under real-world conditions. That precision shows up in how I work with clients: methodical, transparent, and focused on the decisions that actually move the needle. Beyond individual client work, I run a program called True Net Benefit, which helps employers and employees navigate open enrollment decisions, particularly around HSA and HDHP options. It's often how I first connect with new clients, especially professionals working through employer benefits that are more complicated than they look on paper. If you're a high-earning professional trying to make sense of equity compensation, a benefits package, or simply want an ongoing planning relationship without AUM minimums, I'd welcome the chance to talk. Schedule a free consultation to see if we're a good fit.

Measured Money Maneuvers

Hi, I’m Alan Nelson, Founder of Measured Money Maneuvers. My “money” story began many years ago with my decision to enlist in the Navy. At the time, I was independent and living on my own, attending community college and working full-time to make ends meet, but was not really sure what I wanted to do with my life, and didn’t want to get shackled into a ton of student loan debt and paying it off into my 30s and 40s. So, I raised my right hand and took the oath with the goals to serve our country, learn valuable skills, hopefully figure out what I wanted to pursue in life, and get my college education paid for…or at least get the GI Bill to assist with college later. Like many young enlisted starting out, in the first two years, my two roommates and I were fooled by the predatory insurance salesman and purchased a whole life policy as an “investment” with the promise of the “guaranteed” 7% rate of return. Thankfully, we had some senior enlisted leaders that knew better and told us to get out of it immediately before the 30-day window closed and we’d have had to pay a huge surrender fee to get out. This was my initial wake-up call that I needed to learn more about personal finance and investing. I was fortunate to earn a commissioning program within a couple years and while I initially thought I’d transition out in 6-8 years, I went on to serve a 25-year career as a submarine officer. As a young junior officer, I wanted to help my Sailors holistically – professionally, personally and of course, financially. Many young service members make poor early financial decisions that can take them years to recover from due to: 1) lack of financial literacy, 2)having their own paycheck for the first time in many cases and, 3) being the target for many unprincipled salespeople. Despite also working at an innovative high-tech company with brilliant engineers, I realized quickly these highly-educated people still didn’t know much about personal finance. People asked how I knew so much, so I offered an initial lunch and learn. The feedback was so positive and by the second seminar, it became undeniably clear that helping people with money to live their best life was my passion and I knew I needed to earn my credentials as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional. While I will continue to educate, I realized that I could truly help more people by starting my own fee-only, fiduciary registered investment advisor (RIA) firm, Measured Money Maneuvers LLC.
