About
Measured Risk Portfolios provides discretionary portfolio management, financial planning, pension consulting, and financial consulting to individuals (including high-net-worth clients), retirement plans, foundations, trusts, U.S. corporations and other RIAs. The firm also acts as a sub-adviser to other advisers, offers private placement recommendations, and sponsors an affiliated exchange-traded fund (the MRP SynthEquity ETF).
The firm’s investment approach centers on model portfolios that blend short-duration fixed income with option-based strategies—including purchased calls, protective collars and other option spreads—to target downside mitigation while retaining upside participation; it also offers a dividend-focused Consumer Linked Income Portfolio and a mutual-fund/ETF strategy for smaller accounts. MRPI manages accounts on a discretionary basis, may use margin in client accounts, and documents the risks and mechanics of its derivatives and leverage practices in its disclosure materials.
What distinguishes the firm from many peers is its combination of an active options-based program and custody-level features: it offers performance-based fee arrangements for qualified clients, serves as sub-adviser to an affiliated ETF (with specific hypothetical performance examples disclosed in the Fund materials), and maintains an insurance agency affiliation (doing business as Kingsroad Financial & Insurance Services) with advisors licensed to sell insurance products. The firm’s regulatory filings also show nearly $597 million in AUM and roughly 793 client relationships supported by five advisors, producing a relatively high client load per advisor and prompting disclosures about conflicts and mitigation (for example, not charging its advisory fee against SNTH positions).

We'll help you think it through—whether you ultimately need an advisor or not. Warmer helps you compare advisors clearly, so you can choose with confidence.
For advisor listings, we rely on sources including public filings and data provided by advisors, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or accurate. Advisors are independent and may not have reviewed or updated this information. Please review an advisor’s Form ADV and do your own diligence before deciding whether to work with them.
Advisor matching and introductions are provided by FinanceHQ LLC (“FHQ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warmer and an SEC-registered investment advisor. We receive compensation from certain participating advisors for introductions or referrals. This creates a conflict of interest because we have an incentive to recommend advisors who compensate us, including those who pay us more. You pay no fee to use our matching service, and advisor fees are not increased because of a referral or introduction. We do not review the ongoing performance of advisors, manage or hold assets, guarantee performance, or provide advice about specific investments.
By using our service, you agree to our Terms of Service and Advisory Agreement, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Please review FHQ’s ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. Logos provided by Logo.dev
