About

Present Day Financial Planning, LLC provides investment management, both ongoing and project‑based financial planning, and educational seminars and speaking engagements for individuals, high‑net‑worth individuals, charitable organizations, and businesses. The firm is fee‑only and newly registered, and its brochure reports it currently has no assets under management.

The firm’s investment process is grounded in modern portfolio theory and blends passive and active vehicles, individual securities, and socially conscious options when requested; it also may recommend outside managers for portions of client portfolios. To implement strategies it relies on multiple institutional and digital custodial platforms and model marketplaces, and it will customize portfolios and client restrictions where practical.

Compared with many peers, the firm is a very small independent adviser that is nevertheless not organized as a traditional solo practitioner and has added public educational offerings as part of its services. Its simultaneous use of several model‑marketplace and digital custody solutions is a distinctive operational feature for an independent startup of this size.

Present Day Financial Planning, LLC

Most of my clients are corporate professionals and families between 30 and 55 who have built a successful career and are starting to ask a different question: what should that success actually make possible? Sometimes the answer is stepping away for a while to care for a child or a parent. Sometimes it is a sabbatical, a pivot into a different field, or a business of their own. Sometimes it is staying exactly where they are and continuing to work because they want to, not because they have to. Different answers, same work underneath: figuring out what your version would require, and building toward it on purpose rather than by default. That work usually starts at a specific moment. Equity comp that quietly became a concentrated position. A promotion that changed the tax picture and the hours. A package with a short window on it. A parent who needs help the same year tuition starts. Those decisions either build optionality or spend it, and most get made in the first ninety days without anyone pricing the tradeoff. I spent more than two decades in wealth management at large banks before starting Present Day. I am working through a version of this myself: raising a family, helping parents, and deciding what comes after a long corporate chapter. I hold the CFP® certification, studied economics and psychology at UNC–Chapel Hill, and have an MBA from Duke. You can hire me for planning and advice, have me manage the investments, or take what we build and implement it yourself. There is no investable-asset minimum. Fees are flat-dollar or asset-based and disclosed in writing before any engagement begins.

Find your advisor

For advisor listings, we rely on sources including public filings and data provided by advisors, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or accurate. Advisors are independent and may not have reviewed or updated this information. Please review an advisor’s Form ADV and do your own diligence before deciding whether to work with them.

Advisor matching and introductions are provided by FinanceHQ LLC (“FHQ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warmer and an SEC-registered investment advisor. We receive compensation from certain participating advisors for introductions or referrals. This creates a conflict of interest because we have an incentive to recommend advisors who compensate us, including those who pay us more. You pay no fee to use our matching service, and advisor fees are not increased because of a referral or introduction. We do not review the ongoing performance of advisors, manage or hold assets, guarantee performance, or provide advice about specific investments.

By using our service, you agree to our Terms of Service and Advisory Agreement, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Please review FHQ’s ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. Logos provided by Logo.dev
