About
Quants Compete is an independent, state-registered investment adviser that provides discretionary portfolio management to individuals and small businesses and, in some instances, corporate or business clients. The firm constructs and manages portfolios using equities, ETFs, fixed income, options and cash management instruments.
Quants uses a structured approach that combines quantitative, technical and fundamental inputs processed through defined Strategies and a client questionnaire to align portfolios with each client’s risk tolerance and time horizon. The firm is notable for its ties to a parent fintech and newsletter business and a wholly owned subsidiary that operates an AI automation platform for small businesses, relationships the firm discloses as potential conflicts of interest along with instances of client equity ownership and a client creditor arrangement. Quants also recently resolved a state regulatory examination addressing compliance, recordkeeping and a temporary net-capital deficiency, distinctions that set it apart from many solo independent advisers.
