About

Realm Financial Planning provides fee-only financial planning and discretionary investment management to individual and high-net-worth clients. Services include ongoing and project-based comprehensive plans (covering retirement, tax, estate, business, and cash-flow matters) as well as portfolio management across stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs and municipal securities.

The firm’s investment approach is grounded in modern portfolio theory and strategic asset allocation, using a mix of passive and active vehicles and offering socially responsible (ESG) options and custom individual-security portfolios when requested. Implementation can include third‑party Outside Managers and model portfolios, and the adviser uses model- and tax-management tools available through the Altruist Model Marketplace while conducting quarterly portfolio reviews and exercising discretionary trading authority.

What distinguishes the firm from many peers is its recent, small-scale setup as a single-advisor practice with a modest asset base and a required custodial relationship with a single platform (Altruist), which both limits brokerage choice and provides access to the platform’s model and tax tools. The firm’s principal holds the CFP® credential and the adviser operates solely on a fee-only basis, without accepting commissions or performance-based compensation.

Realm Financial Planning

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful individuals and families who are building meaningful lives - often while running businesses, raising families, or serving others through their work. In a culture that often glorifies hustle and constant productivity, I help clients step back, clarify what matters most, and make financial decisions that help balance the ideal with the real (aligning long-term hopes with the practical realities of life today). I provide ongoing financial planning and investment management designed to help clients steward their resources wisely. My approach focuses on simplicity, thoughtful decision-making, and long-term alignment between finances and life priorities. That may include conversations around cash flow, taxes, investments, insurance, retirement, or major life decisions, but the goal is always the same: helping clients use their resources in ways that support the life they actually want to live. I enjoy getting to know the people I work with and learning their stories. I’m at my best as an advisor when I know my clients well, and when they know me as well. My role is part guide, part sounding board, and part planner, helping clients think through complex decisions and move forward with confidence. Outside of financial planning, I’m a husband and soon-to-be father who enjoys making pro-level pizza on my Ooni pizza oven, learning from the Bible Project, and playing hockey.

Find your advisor

For advisor listings, we rely on sources including public filings and data provided by advisors, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or accurate. Advisors are independent and may not have reviewed or updated this information. Please review an advisor’s Form ADV and do your own diligence before deciding whether to work with them.

Advisor matching and introductions are provided by FinanceHQ LLC (“FHQ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warmer and an SEC-registered investment advisor. We receive compensation from certain participating advisors for introductions or referrals. This creates a conflict of interest because we have an incentive to recommend advisors who compensate us, including those who pay us more. You pay no fee to use our matching service, and advisor fees are not increased because of a referral or introduction. We do not review the ongoing performance of advisors, manage or hold assets, guarantee performance, or provide advice about specific investments.

By using our service, you agree to our Terms of Service and Advisory Agreement, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Please review FHQ’s ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. Logos provided by Logo.dev
