About
Villaire Financial is a fee-only financial planning firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, built for young professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Most advisors won’t work with you until you have a large portfolio for them to manage. We think that’s backwards. Paying down student loans, setting up your 401(k), getting married and buying a first home all happen early, and that’s when good advice makes the biggest difference. So we have no asset minimums.
Every client works directly with founder Chris Villaire, CFP®, on every plan and every meeting. We build one integrated plan that covers investments, taxes, cash flow, debt, retirement and big life events, and we update it as your life changes. We also manage investment accounts held at Charles Schwab and help clients make the most of their workplace 401(k) and 403(b) plans.
Pricing is flat and simple. There’s a one-time $250 onboarding fee, then $50 to $125 a month depending on your income and how complex your situation is. If we manage your investments, the fee on those assets is 1.00% to 1.50% a year, and once managed assets reach $100,000 the monthly planning fee goes away. Only our clients pay us. We don’t take commissions or sell products.
Most meetings happen over video, so we work with clients across the country. Local clients can also meet in person at our downtown Grand Rapids office.

Not sure where to start?
We'll help you think it through—whether you ultimately need an advisor or not. Warmer helps you compare advisors clearly, so you can choose with confidence.
For advisor listings, we rely on sources including public filings and data provided by advisors, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or accurate. Advisors are independent and may not have reviewed or updated this information. Please review an advisor’s Form ADV and do your own diligence before deciding whether to work with them.
Advisor matching and introductions are provided by FinanceHQ LLC (“FHQ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warmer and an SEC-registered investment advisor. We receive compensation from certain participating advisors for introductions or referrals. This creates a conflict of interest because we have an incentive to recommend advisors who compensate us, including those who pay us more. You pay no fee to use our matching service, and advisor fees are not increased because of a referral or introduction. We do not review the ongoing performance of advisors, manage or hold assets, guarantee performance, or provide advice about specific investments.
By using our service, you agree to our Terms of Service and Advisory Agreement, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Please review FHQ’s ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. Logos provided by Logo.dev
