Daniel holds a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University. Outside of work, he resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with his wife Amy and their sons, Brian and Jack. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and engages in activities such as golfing, boating, snowmobiling, hunting, and shooting sporting clays. He volunteers as a board member for the Great Lakes Boat Building School and the Les Cheneaux Islands Association.
