Unburdened Financial Planning

I would love to meet you and be able to share with you my story where Jesus is the hero. I would love to hear yours! I started Unburdened Financial Planning after having worked at a very large, nationwide broker dealer. While I and my colleagues worked to provide good advice and do what was best in our client's interest, I was not at peace. I was driven by my client's stress of how much money they were making, how much they had, did they make more than their friend, etc.? I was pushed by how much money I was making, how many reward trips did I earn, who did I make more money than, should I sell something just to make more money, etc.? I felt like so much of the conversations and efforts were focused on the "what" and "how" of planning. I was not pursuing peace. I was pursuing things. I was pursuing my value in my accomplishments. As a loving, father, God brought me to a point where I could see these things to be true in my life. I believe that working as a fee-only, fiduciary planner is the best way for me to provide peace focused counsel. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. When we focus on Him is when we feel peace. Our security and worth is tied up in Him not in what we have or what we do. I help clients focus on the following questions: Who is God? What does God do? Who am I? and finally with those answers in mind answering the all-important, What should I do? What is your "why" for your financial planning needs? What does God think of when He thinks of you? What are the good things He planned for you long ago? I'd love to help you in answering these questions and building a plan to use the resources He has given you to accomplish them!
