NewEdge Advisors is an enterprise‑scale registered investment adviser that serves individuals (including high‑net‑worth clients), pension and profit‑sharing plans, corporations, trusts, estates and charitable organizations through a network of independent investment adviser representatives. The firm offers a broad suite of services including comprehensive wrap and non‑wrap portfolio management, financial planning and consulting, retirement plan and pension consulting, referrals to third‑party managers, and access to sponsored advisory programs. The firm operates multiple program structures—including advisor‑managed accounts, model‑based strategies, manager‑of‑managers platforms, and sponsored custodial programs—allowing solutions that combine in‑house manager selection with third‑party model portfolios and direct advisor discretion. NewEdge emphasizes centralized due diligence and ongoing monitoring of third‑party managers and model strategies, and uses technology tools such as held‑away account platforms and algorithmic model portfolios to support advisor and client needs. Distinctive aspects of NewEdge include its recent, disclosed use of artificial intelligence in certain business operations and a firm‑level policy limiting advisory program fee charges to be no higher than the firm specifies (below some sponsor maxima), both noted as material changes in the most recent brochure. The firm has also moved away from its prior Limited Purpose Investment Agreement structure for new accounts, retains a standardized account maintenance charge that is kept by the firm (which advisors may elect to cover for clients), and operates alongside affiliated broker‑dealer, insurance and trust entities—arrangements the brochure discloses and that can affect custody, sweep and product‑selection practices.
