A complete list of active advisors currently associated with Oppenheimer
Warmer can help you find a great advisor at Oppenheimer or one who fits your needs even better.
Oppenheimer serves individuals (including high-net-worth clients), corporations, pooled vehicles and retirement plans, and offers a range of advisory programs and services including discretionary and non-discretionary portfolio management, consulting and retirement services, the Fahnestock Asset Management (FAM) and Alpha programs, Preference accounts, and financial planning. The firm provides both execution and advisory support to institutional and unaffiliated advisors through its consulting services and retirement-plan offerings. Oppenheimer’s investment approach varies by program and advisor and includes strategic and tactical asset allocation across equity, balanced and fixed income strategies, manager selection, and periodic rebalancing; certain programs rely on commission-based execution (notably Alpha and some FAM accounts) while others use asset‑based fees and wrap-style features (Preference). As of December 31, 2025, Oppenheimer reported approximately $36.7 billion in assets under management, with about $14.2 billion managed on a discretionary basis and roughly $22.5 billion managed non-discretionarily, reflecting a heavier-than-typical emphasis on non-discretionary relationships for an enterprise adviser. Distinctive features include that Oppenheimer is both a registered broker‑dealer and a qualified custodian, and it retains cash-sweep and other administrative fees from its Advantage Bank Deposit sweep program and other intermediary arrangements—practices that can create conflicts of interest relative to independent custody or sweep alternatives. The firm also has affiliated asset-management and trust businesses and acts as placement agent for affiliated funds, and its regulatory history includes FINRA and SEC enforcement matters (including matters relating to mutual fund share-class selection and ETF supervision), which are disclosed in the firm’s Brochure.
