About

Worthique works with individual and high‑net‑worth clients, offering investment management and comprehensive financial planning on both ongoing and project bases. Planning topics described in the brochure include business planning, employee benefits optimization, estate and tax considerations, college savings, cash flow and debt management, and risk‑management reviews.

The firm operates as a fee‑only fiduciary and applies modern portfolio theory alongside fundamental analysis to construct diversified, long‑term asset allocations using stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs. It typically manages accounts on a discretionary basis, accommodates written client‑imposed restrictions, and conducts meetings virtually or at client locations rather than maintaining a walk‑in office.

Worthique is a newly registered, very small practice — the brochure reports about $758,000 in assets under management and three clients as of year‑end — and its principal brings prior product‑management and technology experience from large financial‑services and fintech employers. The firm’s use of multiple custodial platforms (including an institutional custodian alongside digital/wrap platforms) and its practice of combining ongoing planning and portfolio management in certain engagements are features that differentiate it from many peers of similar size.

Worthique

I’m Gitanjali Kumar, CFP®, founder of Worthique, a fee only financial planning firm serving women and their families in the San Francisco Bay Area and virtually across the United States. I bring more than 20 years of experience in financial services. I began my career on financial planning teams at Merrill Lynch and Lincoln Financial, where I helped develop financial plans, support the hiring and development of planners, and evaluate financial planning technology. I later spent more than a decade leading the development of financial planning and digital wealth platforms at Fiserv, U.S. Bank, and fintech firms. I founded Worthique to provide a thoughtful, judgment free space where women can talk openly about money and take greater ownership of their financial lives. I work with women who already lead their household’s financial decisions, as well as those stepping into that role for the first time. My clients often include professionals building and managing wealth, women navigating equity compensation, and those preparing for or living in retirement. As an immigrant, I also understand the experience of building financial confidence within a new and unfamiliar financial system. My approach combines empathy, technical expertise, and a modern planning experience designed to make financial planning feel clear, practical, and even a little less overwhelming. Together, we connect the dots across investments, taxes, equity compensation, retirement income, Social Security, healthcare, insurance, cash flow, and estate planning. The goal is not simply to organize the numbers. It is to turn them into a plan that helps you move forward with greater confidence.
