0% LowI spent 22 years at Fidelity and Schwab, and the part I always cared about wasn't the products or the markets — it was sitting across from someone and helping them make a decision that actually mattered for their life. When to retire. Whether to pay off the house. What to do after losing a spouse. But I kept running into the same wall: the business model got in the way of the advice. Fees that doubled for the same work as a portfolio grew. Hesitation to tell a client to pay off their mortgage or gift money to a grandchild, because it meant less to manage. Products recommended for the commission. I didn't get into this to sell anything. I did it to give people a straight answer. So I built a firm where the advice doesn't change based on your balance — one flat fee, and my only job is to tell you what I'd do if I were sitting in your seat.
Sean Sevey, ChFC®, RICP®, is the founder and sole advisor of Sevey Wealth Advisors, a flat-fee, fee-only fiduciary registered investment adviser in Austin, TX.
He founded the firm in 2022 after 22 years at Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments, and has more than 25 years in the financial services industry. Every client works directly with Sean.
Sevey Wealth Advisors charges one flat fee of $10,000 per year regardless of portfolio size — no assets-under-management fees and no commissions. The firm works with Texas retirees and pre-retirees who have $2 million to $20 million in investable assets, and focuses on planning rather than market timing: retirement income planning, tax-smart withdrawal and Roth conversion strategy, Social Security and Medicare/IRMAA planning, estate coordination, and goals-based portfolios built around each client's income sources, timeline, and risk tolerance.

We'll help you think it through—whether you ultimately need an advisor or not. Warmer helps you compare advisors clearly, so you can choose with confidence.
For advisor listings, we rely on sources including public filings and data provided by advisors, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or accurate. Advisors are independent and may not have reviewed or updated this information. Please review an advisor’s Form ADV and do your own diligence before deciding whether to work with them.
Advisor matching and introductions are provided by FinanceHQ LLC (“FHQ”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warmer and an SEC-registered investment advisor. We receive compensation from certain participating advisors for introductions or referrals. This creates a conflict of interest because we have an incentive to recommend advisors who compensate us, including those who pay us more. You pay no fee to use our matching service, and advisor fees are not increased because of a referral or introduction. We do not review the ongoing performance of advisors, manage or hold assets, guarantee performance, or provide advice about specific investments.
By using our service, you agree to our Terms of Service and Advisory Agreement, and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Please review FHQ’s ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. Logos provided by Logo.dev
